My name is Agnes, and I am a qualified, experienced and fully insured person-centred counsellor offering a warm, confidential, and compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace. I work both online and face-to-face, and sessions last for 50 minutes.
My counselling approach is grounded in the person-centred philosophy, which places you at the heart of the process. I believe that therapy is not just about addressing challenges — it’s about discovering your strengths, nurturing your growth, and helping you reconnect with the parts of yourself that may feel lost or overlooked.
Supporting people on their journey feels entirely natural to me—it’s where I know I’m meant to be. I have always felt drawn to this work, and I can say with honesty that no other profession fits who I am as fully as being a therapist. I bring not only my professional training but also my own life experience, which helps me to relate with empathy and authenticity to those I work with.
Before retraining as a counsellor, I gained a Master’s degree in Public Relations and Human Resources in 2005 and spent nearly a decade working in the business environment. This background gave me valuable insight into the pressures, challenges, and interpersonal dynamics that people often face in professional life, and it continues to inform my therapeutic work today.
My purpose as a therapist is to help you identify what it is you truly need or want—and to support you in learning how to ask for it, in a way that honours who you are. Whether you're navigating emotional challenges, life transitions, or complex mental health difficulties, I will walk alongside you with care, curiosity, and a deep respect for your unique process.
Over the past 10 years, I have had the privilege of walking alongside individuals as adults aged 18 to 75, as well as children and young people. My background includes working in London’s hospital, schools, nurseries, supported accommodation settings, East Sussex County Council, CGL and Affordable Counselling Network. I have been gaining experience in working with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, drug and alcohol addiction, narcissistic abuse, personality disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and complex trauma.
In addition to talking therapy, I offer coaching art, psychotherapy and draw on family constellations when appropriate—approaches that allow for deeper, often non-verbal expression and healing. I am also currently expanding my knowledge through a top-up university course in Creative and Expressive Approaches in Person-Centred Counselling at the University of East Anglia.
I hold a degree in Person–Centred Counselling from the University of Brighton and work ethically within the BACP framework. Confidentiality is central to my practice; however, I am required to break confidentiality if I believe there is a risk of serious harm to you or others.
I provide sessions in both English and Polish, and I am passionate about making counselling accessible to people from diverse backgrounds. I consider myself a lifelong learner and continue to evolve—both personally and professionally—so that I can offer the most authentic and attuned presence to those I support.
If you are looking for a counsellor who will genuinely listen, support you without judgement, and help you reconnect with your own strength and clarity, I would be honoured to work with you.
You’re welcome to book a session whenever you feel ready, during my regular working hours
